About Nathan Deisman Consulting
My journey into the world of geotechnical engineering began at the University of Alberta. My core education includes fundamental geotechnical courses such as Solid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Seepage and Drainage, Soil Structures, Foundation Engineering, Tunneling, and Terrain Analysis.
My current focus is on the Geomechanical Characterization of Coal for Coalbed Methane Reservoir Engineering. In pursuit of this, I’ve developed a medium-temperature and pressure triaxial testing system capable of assessing coal behavior under various conditions. This technology allows me to explore fluid and gas compositions and measure static and dynamic hydromechanical properties.
Prior to my geotechnical engineering journey, I honed my academic skills with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta. Here, my design projects spanned Water Resource Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering, laying the foundation for my expertise.
My approach is grounded in practicality and a strong academic foundation. I bring this experience and a deep commitment to finding practical solutions to every project. Let’s collaborate and tackle your geotechnical challenges together.
